Motorcycle Helmet Review
Motorcycle Helmet Review - Arai Vector Helmet
Motorcycle Helmet Reviews - Yesterday, I broke in my new Arai Vector Helmet, without a doubt the most expensive helmet I've ever purchased. I really thought about it, and tried on a number of Arai helmets, but I am definitely not sorry about my purchase.
Here's what Arai has to say about this new helmet design. What do I like about the Arai Vector helmet: Everything, but in particular, it's comfortable.
If you ride a motorcycle, and wear a helmet (which I highly recommend) you've no doubt "broken in" a new helmet. It takes some wearing for a helmet to begin to conform to your head, and during the breaking in time, there are areas that just don't feel great. Like your forehead, or your temples where your sunglasses fit.
Not so with the Arai Vector helmet. This helmet was truly comfortable the first wearing, and not because it is too big. It's snug, just like it should be. This was the first helmet that I actually was fit for, by the salesman who measured my head and found the right size.
This helmet is also lightweight. When I took the box out of the car, I had to look inside quickly to make sure that we actually remembered the helmet. Much much lighter than any other helmet I've worn. The lightweight-ness certainly adds to the comfort.
The other great feature of this helmet has to be the ventilation. There are three settings for each vent - above the chin, the forehead, and the back. I didn't have sweaty head even though it was near 80 degrees for our first ride of the season.
There are a number of accessories that can be purchased for the Vector, including a shaded visor, and a padded helmet case. This accessories may be in my future, because this helmet is going to travel with me on the airplane on our next overseas trip.
My Shoei helmets were perfectly fine, and certainly were affordable and long lasting. But I think I'm sold on the Arai. I highly recommend. In terms of whether this helmet passes the Her-Motorcycle - Motorcycle Helmet Review - I would have to say a definite "Yes".
