The ultimate sense of FREEDOM!

by Angela
(Alabama)

I ride because once I get onto my motorcycle I feel at one with everything. I get a sense of freedom I can not get doing anything else. I get on my bike and I feel totally in control of my life. I know I'm not totally in control of my life but when I ride I definitely feel like I am. I wish I could give this sense of freedom and control to everyone I know. Unfortunately everyone has that one thing that gives these feelings to them and I just happened to find what mine is, MY MOTORCYCLE. I just hope I never lose that feeling again. I found it when I was around 12 or 13 but I lost it until I was 35. I am so happy I was able to find that feeling again. Nothing feels more perfect.

washes away my worries
by: Lynn- Florida

My motorcycle helps me temporarily wash away all my worries. This Fall has been bad for friends dying or struggling with cancer. Yesterday I was getting ready to attend a Poker Run in support of a lady who is being treated for breast cancer and doesn't have medical insurance (like alot of people in the US). While getting ready to go, I was distracted and teary thinking about my best friend who is struggling with lung cancer. My husband said, "are you sure you can ride?" and I told him that I would be fine once I was on the bike.

My mind focuses completely on riding, leaving all the worries behind & gives me relief from daily strife.

I agree totally! For me it's not only the fun challenges that off-road brings like the exhilarating feeling after crossing a long slippery clay stretch, or climbing a rocky section, but having no barrier with nature, feeling it all its rich fullness. In some ways too, I can leave behind worries -- where will we get food & school fees for all the orphans? How will we raise enough for this & that. I just leave it in God's good hands & enjoy creation in all its wild purity! Nothing does it better than 2 wheels for some reason. =)

I know what you mean because that is the same way that I feel. Started riding when I was 21 because of life wasn't able to continue. Restarted at 60 and it is the best feeling in the world. When I'm riding I feel like I'm in control of it all, excilerating. Best feeling in the world.
