My Softail Deluxe

I learned how to ride Mothers Day weekend on a Buell blast. My husband bought me a 2007 1200XL Sportster. I rode that for 3777 miles and my husband traded it for the one I have now and that is a 2009 Softail Deluxe. I love my bike and wouldn't trade it for the world. I can't wait to ride!!!!

I started out last year with a 1200 Sportster Screamin' Eagle 2003 Anniversary Edition. I loved it. I mentioned to my husband that I already knew my next bike would be a Softail Heritage. He found one for me almost right away. It is absolutely the best. I would recommend any woman start out with one. They are much better balanced, lower to the ground and I find mine to be very comfortable. My derrier doesn't get sore or tired of riding.

Hi, I am just getting my deluxe in 2 weeks can't wait. My only concern is reaching everything. I'm 5 foot so it will be a challenge, but I'll make it work..... Ride Safe

Sportster or Softail Deluxe?

I took the Rider's Edge course a couple of weeks ago and currently have a Honda Rebel to practice on. I'm 'looking' at Harley's and was wondering which would be better to start with the Sportster or Softail Deluxe. I know the Sportster is lighter, but I'm wondering if it would be better to just go right to the bike that I'd really like to have - the Softail Deluxe?

I, too, ride a Deluxe and wouldn't give it up except to buy a newer one. Mine is a 2008 and I have 17,000 plus miles on it.
