2010 Yamaha V-Star

I love this Bike. When I saw it in the showroom I knew it was for me. I never thought I would go for pink-but its only the trim and seeing how I am a breast cancer survivor- It seems appropriate. The weight, and handling are perfect for me. If you are looking for a light, low, cruiser this bike is perfect. Things that I don't like: Only 5 speeds, No Tach.

Vstar

I love my 2009 vstar. I am sure ill keep it forever! It's so perfect for most the riding I do. However I agree with you about the sixth gear and tach. So I saved for three years and bought a h.d. Switchback so my gal riding buds wouldn't be waiting on me for those long Montana rides. But I really do enjoy my vstar the most!!!

Vstar

Glad to hear the "6th gear" thing! I have a 2008 VStar 650 Custom and LOVE IT but I always feel like I'm in 4th gear when I'm in 5th! Glad to hear the 1100 is the same way! I thought that maybe moving up an engine size may get rid of that but I guess not! No matter! Love the VStar......low and is very balanced. I started with a 250 Honda Rebel and this VStar is by far easier to ride.

Nice Bike
by: bikermama

Your bike is absolutely gorgeous. It doesn't matter if it's an American made bike or not. I have a Honda Shadow and a Harley Sportster and I love both dearly. Not one is superior to the other. Keep riding and enjoy.

Your New Bike

The 2 of you seem to fit well. You look good on the bike and the bike is beautiful. I think I would like one also.

Keep the shinny side up!

Nasty Comments
by: Her Motorcycle

Some people are just like little children and have nothing better to do than to try and stir the pot on forums.

I review every comment and remove the inappropriate ones...unfortunately, I cannot check them 24 hours a day. Rest assured, I will remove them though, usually in less than 24 hours.

It is best not to respond to such trash as it just feeds the trolls and keeps them going :(

Jap junk ??

What American made bike are you taking about.??

Because if you are referring to HD, you need to get your facts straight, all the components for the HD are made in China and assembled here, so in my book "Japanese technology" is a lot better than "China slap it together as cheap as you can"

And living in the good ole USA we get to choose what we ride.

By the way really pretty VStar, don't usually like pink on a bike but that is very pretty. Have fun and don't listen to narrowed minded people

Great Bike
by: jp

I had my eye on one of those a few years ago and I've had friends who've really enjoyed them. Looks good.

In response to that last comment I have to say I'd be 'anonymous' too. I don't have much room for 'bike snobs'. I've had 'jap' bikes and USA made bikes, (and ultra classic is my present ride), and I've spent more time in the service bay with my good ol' USA bike. I must say too that those service bays were easy to find and gave me better and quicker service than when I had a 'jap' bike, where I usually was only in the shop for maintenance.

Bikes are bikes. I love em' all. just saying.

Nice bike!
by: Lynn - FL

Congrats! I've seen this bike at our local dealer and it is really pretty! I ride a 2002 VStar 1100 and love it. P.S. I always find it funny that people who post nasty remarks are always "Anonymous".

Looks Good - Feels GREAT!
by: Sandra

You look absolutely awesome on your V-Star. My friend chose that bike as well. I'm a Suzuki Boulevard lover myself, but it's a close call! And even on my Boully the first things I questioned were Where's the tach? and Where's sixth gear? LOL

Enjoy every moment...

I'm with ya girl!!
by: Debbie

I've got a 2006 Vstar 1100 Classic. Love my bike but wish like you that is had another gear!! Keeping up with my husband is hard when he wants to get it on, and my bike sounds like it's gonna pop a cork! I know having a tach would help, then I wouldn't worry so much! I've put a fairing on my bike, so I just turn up the music! You'll love all the options you can buy for your bike! Enjoy, rubber down!
