2009 Honda Shadow 750

Cruising to Galena

Cruising to Galena

"Second Sister" is my second bike, bought brand new once I learned on my 250. She's big enough to cruise at 75 down a 6 or 12 lane freeway with semis on our tail, yet nimble enough for those country roads (my favorite.) While I ended up taking the bike with the flames (my choice of pure black wouldn't have been as well discounted, it wasn't at the dealer...) my husband has the best idea - my pansies will be intertwined amongst the flames - can't wait to get her customized! She's already been to Galena, IL from Chicago, Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and Edisto Island, SC. She's going to the Keys this year, and the heart of Texas too!

Blue riding lights under the frame. NEW
by: Zio

d blue lights on one of my other bikes for 4 years and on 2016 New Years Eve two blocks on a side street I was stopped and ticketed for having blue lights that are reserved for law enforcement. Now mind you I rode all over with them until that incident, police functions, pull up next to police at a light many times at night and never issued a citation until I found the right one who made his mark for the new year. So be careful and they are illegal, most of the time it is such a petty law for motorcycles that it is overlooked. But if I found one, there has to be more out there with nothing better to do but write tickets. Good luck and just informing you if you did not already know this.

You meet the nicest people on a honda!
by: Bill Umberger

I find myself tellin' the story a lot but so what. I'm in pain most of the time. Not much I can do, just comes with the privilege of bein' me. I've only got one leg which only adds to the problem. But yet I ride and I ride a lot. I ride in the rain, in the winter, extreme heat of summer. I'll take the bike when the car is just sittin' there in the driveway. Part of what enables me to do it is my Honda Shadow ACE 750. It only weighs about 500 lbs. soakin' wet. It handles like a dream and never lets me down. It's 12 years old, rusty. I've done some riggin' to keep it alive. Rattled caned the chrome with grill paint when the rust tries to take over, etc... It's a cross between a bobber and a rat bike but at the end of the day it's still my bike and I love it. Have fun on yours! And remember, you meet the nicest people on a Honda!

50th Birthday Present
by: MissT

Took my class and bought my 2007 Shadow 750 as my birthday present. I love my Moon Shadow! Driving the turnpike thru Orlando, highway construction zones or the back roads around Florida - she's the perfect in every way!

The Shadow
by: Mart

I had three of those, great little bike, then sold my last one for a Ridley Limited Edition. The Shadow is easy to maneuver you can really throw it around easily, and has a pretty comfortable ride. Enjoy it!
