2007 Yamaha VStar 650 Silverado

I got this bike as a complete surprise from my boyfriend for Christmas 2011. He found it on Craigslist for $4000 and it only had 500 miles on it and in perfect condition. I am 51 and with absolutely no previous riding experience I started riding up and down our culdesac and then took the MSF class in Feb. 2012. This is a perfect bike for a newbie to get comfortable and gain confidence even though it is pretty good sized, weighs about 600 lbs. I am 5'9" so this bike is a good size for me since I don't have issues with my feet touching the ground or handling it for the most part. I haven't put a ton of miles yet, just surpassed 900 miles last weekend, May 2012. I am anxious to gain more riding experience and hopefully advance to a bigger bike within a year. I recently demo'd a Kawasaki 900 which I liked however I expect I will get a bigger bike then that when the time comes. For now this is working within my limits! LOVE TO RIDE!
