2006 Yamaha V Star 650 Classic

by Katie
(Prince George, VIrginia)

When I went looking for a motorcycle, I was not all that thrilled about the concept. They scared me. All that power I was to control was just daunting. I had been on the backseat of a motorcycle before I could walk and had no problem being on the back. When I searched for this bike, I was looking for a clunker in good mechanical condition in case I dropped it or wrecked it. I saw this one, used, with under 5k miles on it and fell in love. She fits perfect and is a mini one of my husband's bike. I named her Beauty for his Beast.

I also got my Pearl as a starter bike almost 4 years ago, I've upgraded her with accessories since but still don't have the heart to part with her.

Congratulations On Your New Beauty!

Hi Katie... I also fell in love with my pretty VStar 650 Classic. Named her "Queen Isabella", or "Queenie" for short. I've had her 2+ years, and she was my first bike also. When I first saw her in the showroom I was impressed with the amount of chrome on her - forks and tree (handlebar area), comfortable seat and pretty grey ghost flames on her tank. I thought she was the prettiest bike in the showroom. Since then I've made several more chrome accents & accessories that have approved her appearance and made her sparkle even more. I added the Kuryakyn grips with stiletto ends, and they look really bad! I also purchased a pretty emblem in chrome and black color that fits right onto the stock round chrome air filter - purchased it on EBay... it says "Six-Fifty Classic", and it really looks sharp! The bikes should have come from the factory like that! We're really cruisin' in style now. Well, you guys have fun riding together and take care of your pretty little "Beauty".

Great Bike, was my starter bike, put 30,000 miles on it with no mechanical trouble, and I never dropped her. Good Choice.

I moved up to an 1100 V-star, I do like the power!
