2005 Honda VTX 1300 R

Near Bryce Canyon in Utah, 3600 Mile Trip

This is my second bike and I plan to ride it until there is nothing left to ride! I take it to work every day, a 60 mile round trip, plus ride every weekend. It has made two round trips to Sturgis from AZ and will take me there again this year. With nearly 70,000 miles on it, I have had no problems whatsoever. I am 5'6" tall (we won't discuss weight here...lol) and this bike is perfect for me. I have added lots of chrome doo dads, pullback risers, Kuryakin grips and flat levers (for my VERY short fingers, this made a huge difference!), V&H pipes (NOW they hear me on the Phoenix freeways) and other assorted "biker goodies". I LOVE my bike and wouldn't trade it for any other.

Loud pipes? NEW

"Now they hear me on Phoenix highways" was the last thing I was hoping to "hear here"!

For guys, loud pipes equal small penis compensation; I don't know WHAT it does for women.

Research has show it certainly doesn't save lives.

Maybe it makes you weigh less? (Your topic, not mine.)

I just picked up my first bike, a 2005 VTX 1300R. At 5'3", this is about as much as I can handle, for now. I'm in San Tan Valley and hope to see you on a ride in the future. Do you have any recommendations for clubs or classes? Any help is appreciated. Thanks and happy riding!

2005 Honda VTX 1300 R

Very impressive! Nice-looking bike! I just went for my first ride in almost three weeks (due to the weather). It was rough; kept stalling :(

Last summer, I was riding with a friend who rides a bike exactly like yours. I couldn't even budge it! My own bike is a Suzuki GS400e and even that feels a little heavy, to me. I'm getting used to it though, I think :)
