yamaha V star 650 classic
by: Lisa C

I just looked at a 2002 yamaha v star 650 classic....i WAS REALLY impressed. The look of a big bike by short so my feet feel really planted nicely to the ground! This is an upgrade for me. My last bike was a dual purpose 650 and I could not touch the ground with my feet and could not ride for a long period of time. I am pretty sure I will be purchasing this bike on Monday!

I rode my Rebel 250 for 2 years. I really enjoyed it. The reason I decided to move up was because we (my husband and I) started riding with other people. My 250 couldn't keep up. :-( They all had 600's or higher. I couldn't pass other vehicles, ect... I started looking this year at Shadow's, V-star's, ect.. "If I had the money" I probably would have gotten a Boulevard 800!!! Well, I really liked the looks of the classic v star. As far as weight distribution, this bike "to me" is great in that area! I am 5'4", touching the ground is no problem. I have rode my friends 750 shadow and they really are great, too. I think it came down to the looks I preferred.

Nice Bike
by: Bridgett

My friend has a V Star 650, it is really a beautiful bike! She loves it. It has the look of a really big bike, but when I sat on it, it feels real good. I ride a Sportster, her bike looks bigger and feels smaller :-) Mine looks small and feels heavy, I still love my "Betty" (My bike's name) though. Congrats!

Nice! Congratulations!

Hi Leah! Love the new ride! Hope you are enjoying it too!

How many miles were put on your Rebel before moving up to the 650? How long did you ride your Rebel? How long did it take you to adjust to the size and weight difference? What made you choose the V-Star Classic? Sorry so many questions, but am trying to start thinking about my change from a V-Star 250 and wanted to hear about someone else's experience in making the move.

My brother recently rode his bike to Deals Gap! Would love to ride it myself someday!
