Why I Started Riding

My 2005 Honda Shadow 750

My 2005 Honda Shadow 750

I am 32 years old, and up until a few months ago, I really had never thought about operating a motorcycle on my own. I have ridden on the back of a Harley Softail, and LOVED it, but thought that was about all I would experience. My best friend has always had a desire to ride. She talked me into taking a motorcycle course one weekend, and I agreed to go with her.

The closer it came to class time, the more excited I got. The class was tough, I got irritated at myself and some of the dumb mistakes I made, but in the end, I knew we had made the right decision to take the class BEFORE trying to ride.

I've only been riding a little over a month now. I'm still nervous, and I am glad that I am. I don't do stupid things that way. NOTHING feels like riding down a stretch of road on a sunny day knowing that I am doing something I always thought I would be too scared to do. It's a great feeling every time I get back from riding knowing I got a little braver, could tell my riding got just a little bit better, and being excited to see what I will conquer next.

Oh, and add also that there is NOTHING sexier than a woman getting off a motorcycle, taking off her helmet, and shaking her hair down! :)
