2007 BMW F800ST

by Michele
(Hudson, WI)

I got this bike last spring. It's my first BMW and I simply LOVE it. Here are my reasons (not necessarily in order):

>Comfortable- riding position is sporty, but not
too sporty.
>Excellent mileage- 55-65
>Lightweight- approx 450lbs
>Confidence-inspiring ride
>Heated hand grips
>Small windshield/fairing
>ABS
>Handsome
>Fun

I put 9,000 miles on it from Apr-Nov, and I'm pretty sure this is the best bike (for me). It's on the tall side, though- I'm 5'10" and have no trouble reaching the ground. But they do offer a lower seat for you shorter people.

No picture yet, but maybe soon.

I love mine too!

My husband picked up one of these on E-Bay, just because it was a good deal. When he got it home, he had me test ride it then immediately get on and ride the 2003 R1150RT I'd been riding for a couple of years. I knew immediately the 800 was a better bike for me. I love the 1150 on the open road, but it intimidates me in tight quarters and downtown traffic. I did put a bigger windscreen on the 800 which noticeably reduces wind on the upper body at speeds higher than 55. You're right - the F800ST is a confidence builder!
