The Snake

I know most of you know the DRAGON but how many of you have heard of the SNAKE? The Snake is US 421 in Tennesee and it's boast is 1 valley 3 mountains and 489 curves. I took a ride yesterday with 5 friends we started from Asheville NC headed down I26 we had to slow down there was a black bear trying to cross the highway, he was crossing the median as I rode by(I was glad to have him behind me). We rode to the top of Roan Mnt at NC/TN border and stopped for a quick break. Then headed for the country store on the Snake and had lunch, then traveled around watauga lake, then on to Bristol TN past the Bristol raceway, back over to Boone NC then back into Asheville left the rest and headed home, it was a long day. I left home at 7:30 am got in at 7:15pm rode 353 miles and glad to say my bike is the most comfortable bike in the world. So if this sounds like fun to you come visit western NC you have the dragon the snake, blue ridge parkway, cherohala skyway, hwy 441 from cherokee nc to gatlinburg tn just to name a few.
