The Pink Lady & Lil' Pink

The Pink Lady & Lil' Pink

Recently my husband and I attended a car show and while there I met Linda and The Pink Lady (her 1928 Model A). I asked if I could move my bike so we could take a picture together. Lil' Pink ended up staying there for the day since they are both dedicated to Breast Cancer Education & Awareness.

Lil Pink
by: Lynn - Florida

I should have included a picture of my license plate cover which reads: "THIS AIN'T NO BARBIE TOY".

I'm not really a girly girl, but the bike came painted this way so my BFF dedicated her as such. When she became ill, we decided that I would continue the ride for awareness so I bought Lil' Pink from her.

I love this little bike! She is what's referred to as a "Pre-Generation" model with 16" tires. Being short, I cannot reach the ground on the newer models. I changed the gearing for more top-end and love riding her to work daily. I always say that the police won't believe someone if they say they didn't see me! I ride very defensively and assertively. I make sure they see me and stay clear of people with their cellphone on their ear.

That is a wonderful picture. My daughter who is going to be 17 still loves pink she would think that is one awesome looking bike!

Thanks so much for sharing.

I am sure that people on the road can see you coming which is always a good thing!

My bike is in the paint shop now and ask the painter to paint it pink and lilac, but he refused!! Said it would be difficlt to sell, and he gets my man with him. Pigs!! Now he paint it in the Italian coulors, red, green and white and lots of candygloss.(its a Moto Guzzi) Better for him it will be cool....!Sorry for my bad english, hope you can read it. It would be nice if some one out there in the big world write me some ,maybe we could be friends and visit each others countries. Ride safe!
