Many Thanks

by Tracie
(Petersburg, IL )

I just wanted to say "thank you" for having this website and especially the forum!! For a new rider like myself, it's SO encouraging to read your posts and to see the things Im fearing and questioning and struggle with are all part of the process!!!
My boyfriend, who's been wonderful and very patient has almost 20 years of riding experience, so the one thing he's not able to understand is the "fear". The wanting to succeed at this, yet still having fear about it... Tonight is going to be a 20 minute highway trip to our favorite spot for "Taco Night"... I've ridden everyday since I got the bike last Saturday and each time I try to progress a little more. But finding this site has been SO incredibly helpful for me, so thank you!!!

many thanks also

I agree. This is my first season riding. I have put almost 2000 miles on my Harley since I bought it and am loving it more and more every day. But without this site it would have been much harder. There is a lot of good support and advice here. I appreciate it a lot and am glad you posted this to give us all a chance to chime in our thanks also.

Fears
by: Sandra

They seem a distant memory already to me (I'm fast closing Season 2 and really don't ride much), and yet I vividly remember sitting in my living room, all geared up in boots, jacket, helmet, gloves...afraid to just start up and go...

Everyone progresses at a different rate but I agree, this site helped me through some really difficult times when I was needing support and not always finding it in my friends and family.

There is nothing like the support of other ladies when it comes to riding. We can off the insight that comes with experience. We have ALL been there and should understand "new" rider feelings.

As in life, most everything gets better with practice. Happy trails!
