It's NOT a Harley! Vulcan 900

My Vulcan 900 KAW

This is my second baby! My first was a Suzuki 250. I know, its small but I had been riding dirt bikes and quads most my life, but a road bike is a different story. I didn't want to start on something to big, I wanted to learn and not be afraid....well that only took half a summer and I was ready to move on up! That's when I got my second baby, the Vulcan 900. This bike handles sooo well and is so balanced I really don't want to get rid of it but I think I'm ready to change to something BIGGER.

A group of us went to Deals Gap in TN (My first BIG ride) and I ALWAYS ride in the front, second in command, that's just how I roll! LOL! Well I was fine, running with the leaders and caught the white line and the bike shot out from under me at about 55 mph....I hung on to the bike as long as I could and that's when I saw the edge of the earth coming at me FAST. I let go and the bike slide and stopped about 5 feet from the edge of a cliff. I was fine just REALLLY PO'd because I hurt my bike. I broke the side mirror, the headlight was pointing straight up and bent my floorboards and dented my tank! Oh and I busted my helmet when I took it off and threw it and ruined my FAVORITE pair of JEANS! Ladies you know how it is when you have a favorite pair of jeans and something happens to them! LOL! Regardless, I was still able to finish the ride and make it back to Gahanna, Ohio. I have now ridden to and from Sturgis, doing the Iron Butt, in the pouring rain with a few other folks. Was a great time, great ride, and I plan on doing it again this year!

A good friend of mine, Randy Fischer of Jerry Fischer Used Auto Sales, Urbanna, took my crippled baby in and gave it its BEAUTIFUL paint job! The paint is Kawasaki Green/Pearlized flames. Randy took care of my babe and now she is HOTTER than EVER! Thanks Randy!

Just Upgraded Myself
by: Kim

Very pretty bike!

I just upgraded to a Vulcan 1500 classic. It handles very well and seems thus far to love to lean. Nice center of gravity, better then the Sportster I was riding.

Ride Safe and glad that one tumble turned out well in the end.

NOT a Harley
by: bint Kitty

Hi! That's a really nice paint job. I read frequently that the Vulcan's are really popular. What kind of bike are you looking for to move up on if you don't mind my asking? What was it about the 900 that you felt was too small? I'm not being nosy, just looking for my "final" bike, too, and would like to hear your input.

Chrome Divas
by: Anonymous

Sure! Would love to go for a ride! I'm not sure if you have heard of the Chrome Divas but they are based out of Cincy and are wanting to get a chapter started in Columbus. Look them up on Facebook if you have it. Just a bunch of women who like to ride.

Another Biker from Ohio
by: Patti

Glad to see another female biker from "down south" in Ohio. Have a few female friends that ride. Would love to go on an extended ride with other bikers.
