Girly helmet!

by Connie
(Ohio)

I would love some suggestions on finding a new helmet. I've been riding for 3 years, and I've decided I want a girly helmet to replace my boring black one. I haven't had much luck finding anything at my local dealer (north central Ohio). Has anyone had success purchasing helmets at online stores?

Best Place for Womens Motorcycle Helmets
by: Lisa K

I noticed this thread and wanted to offer my advice based upon my experiences. I too have had a hard time finding the perfect womens helmet supplier...until now. http://motorcyclemavens.org This site is owned and operated by a biker chic just like us! She shares her experiences and insight on really adorable products! I just bought the butterflies and skulls half helmet but have my eyes set on another full face helmet for a back up. Possibly the Bad Girl Model. Check it out her prices are great, service was excellent and shipping was fast!

He will be painting mine to match the custom paint he is doing on my bike. You can email me for info. calicobychoice@gmail.com

Girly helmets
by: Chief gopher

Leatherup.com has a really girly black with pink and white hearts and flames. It is a modular helmet and an extra interior sun visor. I currently have one just like it only in different pattern. I love the helmet. The brand name of the helmet is Hawk modular dual visor. It runs around $80.00 it is quiet when the face shield is down. Water tight in pouring down rain for 14 hours. Does not stay fogged when breathing during rain or on hot days. Measure your head and go by the size chart and u will have the perfect fit helmet. I have had mine for nearly a year now and it still fits snug like when I bought it and I have logged nearly 9000 miles on my bike. Long trips and short ones. I want the girlie helmet because when other drivers see that I am a lady they tend to not crowd me as much when I am riding. Good luck. Leatherup has a very nice return policy and quick response time. They r located in Cali and I live in Mississippi it usually only takes 5-7 days for my stuff to get here at the standard rate. Good luck. Happy riding

Girlie stuff

Cycle gear has a good selection of ladies full face helmets, but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for. I ran into the same problem when shopping for an open-face style. I bought a basic black open face and got some really cute reflective decals from purpleiron.com. They are a little pricey, but they've got quite a few to pick from to make your own style to match your bike or whatever. Plus, they're reflective so they add a bit of visibility at night. And, it might save you the cost of a new helmet.

Re: Helmets

Hi, i have three helmets, two of which were bought online from Helmets up.com and Extremesupply.com. Both were delivered on or before schedule. You can see them here at http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.481169045234487.113302.100000241876853&type=3 . The black one i bought locally at Hot Leathers because i wanted my own for the MSF course. First i went into a Harley dealership and tried on a few helmets to get a good idea of what size i needed, then i ordered one more to my liking online.

Good luck in your search for the helmet that best fits your personality and attitude.

I like my GMax
by: Tammy T

I got a new full face GMax helmet in white, grey and lilac. I really like it. It has a lot of ventilation and multi-part liner which you can change out parts, like the cheek pads, if you need to alter the fit. It goes well with my grey/silver bike, and my black and lilac jacket. It also came with both a clear and a dark smoke faceshield. I always wear sunglasses in bright sun, so with the smoke shield, I don't need them. I bought it online, I think the GMax website has a sizing chart which you need to measure your head to find your size. Then, you can go on ebay, amazon, or someplace like Motorcycle Superstore, to order. I got the GM69 model, and I think I paid around $115-125.
