Finding Woman Riders

Hello,

I'm new to this site.....and really looking for other woman riders. My husband and I have traveled all over America - he introduced me to motorcycle riding. He passed away in October....I sold my bike and though motorcycle riding is over for me. Just couldn't stand it..and now that I'm trying to start my own life again...I bought a new bike!!, and decided I can do this. Everywhere I look and research are "men" riders...are any of you just maybe in the middle TN area?

Also....my son and I are going on a really long trip ....May till July.....and I really need a good helmet and boots...any suggestions? Helmet I thought Shoei....but boots, I have no idea where to even start. The boots need to give me good protection but must be waterproof also. Please help.

Women Riders

I live in western North Carolina and I have 2 Scorpion helmets, 1 full face and the other is a modular, I like them both. As far as boots my favorite pair so far has been Ariat waterproof. They are riding boots but I believe they were made for horseback riding. They come up over my ankle and I have been caught in the rain a few times with them on and they are waterproof. Last summer I had them on when I had an accident they were fine protection still wear them.

Women Riders

I don't know what type bike you ride, but there is a Women's Sportbike Rally in mid Sept just south of Knoxville near the "Tail of the Dragon". You might check out the earlier posting on the this site. Also try to find a chapter website for "Sisters in Spirit" all women's group, they tend to ride cruisers.

As far as helmets try the Scorpion brand, they also have a good line to women's jackets and pants, and boots just check with your local bike stores and try on sizes then get online.
