Daytona Bike Week 2013

At Ft.Pierce with the FatBoyLo

Just sharing a picture of our trip to Fla in early March. We loaded the bikes on the auto-train in Lorton Va, and got off in Sanford Fla the next day.
Rode a huge loop around Fla hitting the West Coast first (Tamps, Venice, Ft.Meyers), then over to Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Pierce then up to Daytona for 3 days of Bike Week, then back to the train to head home.
We lived outta back packs and hotels the whole time.

It was such a blast that we have to pick another destination and do this again.

I would love to go to Daytona! I'm hoping in the next few years I'll be able to make the trip down. It's a really long motorcycle ride for me though!

So sorry so late getting back...
we looked at purchasing a 2nd home in the Port Charlotte/North Port area while down there, and thinking we have scored on a short sale in North Port! Hopefully we can permanently move down...always looking for peers on bikes to meet. ;-)

Adventure

We rode over to Daytona towards the end of the week, Thurs-Sunday and camped at the Daytona 200 M.C. It was cool this year but lots of fun. One of the campers rode over from Arizona to attend. It was a 3 day ride for him to get there.

We want to take the auto train north and then ride to Virginia & the Parkway. Its on my bucket list.

Your road trip sounded like a terrific time. We live just North of Fort Myers and enjoy riding the coastal roads and inland thru the orange groves and cattle range. Keep us posted on your adventures & thanks for posting.
