Broken Spoke, Sturgis, SD Aug. 4, 2012

Yeah I made the entire trip from Houston, TX to Sturgis, SD Aug. 2-4, 2012. My hubby and I rode our HD's the entire trip in 3 days.(right at 1500 miles).. Then rode the Lichter/Sugarbear Ride on Sunday Aug. 5th and then on Monday Aug. 6th a group of us rode over to Crazy Horse and was on our way to Mt Rushmore when I went down in a curve in Custer Park. I was able to crawl back on my bike and ride to a Ranger Station (about 30 miles)before my leg would not let me shift any longer. At that point the guys parked my bike and locked it up at the ranger station and put me on the back with my hubby and he took me to Rapid City, SD to the ER about another 30 miles or so away. Got xrays and nothing broken but a very bad contusion on my thigh. This picture was taken just before we left Crazy Horse Monument and like 30 minutes before I went down. I am now walking ok but even after almost 1 year I still have tenderness and a bruise on my thigh. All in all I had a great trip and I'm trying to get ready to do it again and see the sights that I missed my first time there.
