Aniversery ride

by Jim

After being married to the most beautiful woman God could create we decided to take a long ride on our bikes for our 25th anniversary. After a LOT of research, we decided to test the dragon by way of Cape Hatteras, and north Carolina. The ride thru NC was a long one messed up only by a goofy contractor who did not secure a load of scaffolding planks thoroughly, and ended up having one drop off his truck that I ran over and almost dumped my bike on! We got to Ashville and came across a hotel(the Roadway Inn) that we picked up a ferocious case of bedbugs from! When we finished riding around Gatlinburg and the Cherokee reservation, we headed for the gap, and stayed at a Motorcycle friendly resort. The next day we went to the start of the gap and got the tee shirts and stickers. We started the ride and let me tell you what, the good lord made one FANTASTIC stretch of road. I didn't think that a full dresser could lean that far! The memory of the ride with my wife will stay with me for the rest of my life
