2012 Suzuki S40

by Norma
(Altavista, VA)

I started out on a Honda Rebel 250 as it was light weight and one I could handle. I moved up to a 2012 Suzuki S40 (LS650) as it was only 50 lbs. heavier than the Honda Rebel 250cc bike. I am 5' 8" and 120 lbs. so having a lighter bike appeals to me. The ride and power of the Suzuki makes it a safer bike to ride as you can get out of the way of traffic quicker. I don't regret learning on a smaller motorcycle as it gave me the confidence to move up to a larger one.

You can start bigger

II learned to ride on the s40. It is a great bike to learn on.It is less than 50 lbs. heavier than the 250. Remember you are in control and your bike won't go faster than you let it, exactly the same for all bikes. My reasoning is that if you ride the 650 you won't out grow it and you'll save bucks not needing to buy another bike, I did go to another bike, Harley sporty, but kept the 650 passed it to my sister who sill rides and loves it and would never consider getting rigid of it and some times she let''s me ride it. We switch bikes ans every time I ride he I fall in love with he all over again. She even has a name Windwalker" And she has been riding her for 7yrs.

There was a typo on my earlier post. My Post should have read Susuki S40. The S40 is a 650 cc motorcycle.
