2007 Suzuki Boulevard 800

I learned to ride on a 2001 Suzuki 800 Intruder. Though I loved my Intruder, my husband has a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard and I envied his bike's fuel injection and big comfortable seat. I kept looking at other bikes and the more I looked, the more I realized I wanted a Boulevard too. Now we ride our Boulevards together and it's a sweet ride. When I found her, she had everything I wanted, including crash bars, windshield and saddle bags. I've added a box on the back. Now my husband and I can do all of our grocery shopping and I can carry as much as he can. But the greatest thing was how I broke my bike in. A little over a week after I got the Boulevard, we rode the Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap. I'm having a blast on my Boulevard!

Still riding the Boulevard
by: Regina

Well, it's been a while since my entry on here so I thought I'd update it. I enjoyed reading everyone's comments too.
I'm still riding my Boulevard. I've put several thousand miles on it and it's running good. We did the Tail of the Dragon again last year and I highly recommend it for a fun and exciting ride.
It's winter time here in Kentucky now and just around 40 degrees in the sunshine. My husband and I rode our bikes by the big Harley store and the only motorcycle we saw amongst all the vehicles in the parking lot was one in the back of a truck.
Just sayin'... lol

Suzuki Boulevard
by: Regina

I loved reading everyone's comments and I'm glad you're having fun on your Boulevards. It's been an exciting year for me. My husband and I just finished riding the Tail of the Dragon again and it took just as much concentration as it did the first time.
I've also published a book about a woman who learns to ride a motorcycle. It's a love story also and I wanted to come on here and tell you all about it because I think you'll enjoy it. It's had great reviews and is selling good too! It's called, "As if They Always Knew." Here's the book trailer link where's there's a cute little video about my book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05C1uCC6W1g
You can also order it from: http://www.createspace.com/3869768
But if you like riding motorcycles or you've ever wanted to learn to ride or if you just enjoy a good love story that has some suspense and adventure, take a look at: "As if They Always Knew."

Similar Story
by: Pamela

Hi I'm Pamela, a South African (53yrs old) - I decided to comment because our stories are so similar. I had a Honda Shadow 600cc since 1986 and loved my bike, that is, until my husband got his Boulevard C90 (1500cc), I loved how comfortable his bike was but had grown so attached to my old lady I could'nt bear to part with her until he took the bull by the horns and unbeknown to me sold my bike to a very avid collector and bought me The Suzuki Boulevard C50T, exactly like the one in your picture except my one is red & white (with white wall tyres)....much heavier than my old bike (I'm 4ft 9") but I'm loving her and get such lovely comments about her that I feel 6ft tall. I also have the shield and the bags, so good for shopping.

by: Shelly

I've been riding an 06 boulevard now for 3 yrs and only just bought a harley road king. I love my suzuki but wanted more power and a smoother ride. I'll hang on to the suzuki for awhile until I break in the harley.

re: OOPS!

Hey, Yvonne, it's really hard to find ANYONE who has heard of "Cave-In-Rock"! LOL Quite a colorful history to that area with river pirates and such terrorizing the riverways in its early days...quite a beautiful state park now, though.

Guess if I'm going to brag about my accomplishments, I should at least get the names right. lol Yes, Sandra, that's what we did, very enjoyable. Looking forward to a lot more riding.

'06 Boulevard for me!
by: Sandra

I have to agree, Suzuki Boulevard C50 is just about the PERFECT bike for me, too!! Dragon tail? We go to Gatlinburg frequently for summer vacations, but always take the car - staying at the mountain top, just driving a car down that mountain scares the beejeebers out of me - not ready to try it on 2 wheels yet - but I did get the T-shirt... ;-)

Yvonne, you must have been in Illinois and Kentucky? Carbondale is a college town in southern IL and my daddy was born and raised in Cave-in-Rock right on the Ohio River. We used to take the ferry to Kentucky from there when I was very little.

Thanks for sharing - maybe someday I'll have bragging rights to the Dragon's Tail, too.

Great

We were in KY a week ago. Put on about 500 miles while there visiting my son. Rode to Carbondale?? and crossed the river at Cave in Wall, rode along the river to Paducah, awesome ride. Planning on doing the Dragon soon. I have a Honda Shadow 1100 and my husband has a Kawasaki Meanstreak 1500. Also, road the Iron Mountain Rd in SD the week before that. Nothing beats riding. Enjoy.
