2006 Vulcan 900 Classic

by Debbie Goad
(Canon City, CO)

First off, I love to ride! Second I wanted to be able to keep up on rides with my husband, both in speed and comfort. I ride in the mountains of Colorado, including up Pike Peak, and needed a bike that I felt good on. That bike is the Kawasaki Vulcan 900. I have not had any issues with "getting into trouble" like I did when I was riding my husband Vulcan 1600. On the 1600 I could ride on down the road and in most cases not have any trouble, however, in low spots when stopping at a light or on the side of the road, the weight and height of the bike was an issue. On the 900 that has never been the case. I have over 20,000 miles on the bike and have a blast riding it. The balance and seat height makes it an easy ride for a 5'3" woman. When traffic is thick and you need to move this 900 has the guts to do it. Hope that this helps the next woman looking for the best bike for her! Ride safe and ride free.....

I live in Alamosa and just bought an 2007 Vulcan 900 custom. Love Love Love this bike. I just bought an LT seat with the studs. I have the saddlebags to match. Can't wait to get my licence next summer. My husband drives a goldwing. He has been driving my bike an keeps telling me how much HE like it.
