Touring with Kawi

Hello ladies!
For all of you who are thinking about touring, and wonder if you need a bigger bike to do so, I just wanted to share my latest adventure.

My husband and I just finished a 20 day trip that took us over 6500km. Started in Alberta, Canada, down into Washington over the North Cascades, over to Astoria, OR, and down the Oregon coast, into California to see the Redwoods, down around lake Tahoe and into Nevada (Carson City and Reno) and back up through Idaho and Montana.

I rode all this on my 650r Ninja (also known as the Er-6f) I have Givi side cases, a top case, and for the trip a Wolfman waterproof duffle strapped to the pillion seat. Kawi worked very hard through wind, rain, fog, and extreme heat, I was never lacking for power. What roads! I just wanted to encourage others who are thinking of a big trip, we had an amazing time. If the milage seems daunting, just take it day by day.
