Okay I've posted before about getting my bike, and my excitement, but now I get to post about passing my MSF course a little over a month ago and our ride we are about to take.

Hubby and I are taking a 3 day trip to Arkansas, going to ride the Talimena Trail and do some sight seeing, I am so excited!!! This will be the first long trip so far for me, I've enjoyed several 100-200 mile rides in a day but I'm looking forward to this one. I'll let you all know how it goes.

See I wouldn't have the guts to go to Sturgis, so there I envy you guys. lol. I'll let ya all know when we get back and hopefully I'll have some pics.

First Long Ride

Hope you enjoy your trip to Arkansas and Oklahoma. Talimena Drive is beautiful. Not sure I will ever have the nerve to attempt it but more power to you. Rode it a couple times on the back of my husband's bike and it was awesome. Going to Sturgis this year but again on the back of a bike. Maybe one day I'll be able to get out there on my own but still practice for me. Wish I were more like all of you that seem to just go for it. This 118 heat index in Oklahoma makes it hard to get out there on a daily basis to practice. Be safe, enjoy your ride. Wish it were me on my own.

I'm so Jealous!

Hubby and I got our endorsements back in May; he's planning a TENTATIVE trip to Sturgis NEXT year (2011)...STURGIS? Really? First trip to a totally chaotic mass of metal and rumble???

I'd rather take a leisurely vacation trip as our first road trip, like yours. We're headed to Smokey Mountains in a couple of weeks - but he would not even consider such a trip on the bikes... :( ...although that may be a good thing - I have difficulty on those mountain roads and hairpin turns in our stick shift car - that would definitely be a learning experience on a bike...with our daughter...

Anyway, have a GREAT trip!
