Honda Rebel nice sized bike , reliable, 250 or 300 cc . I forgot.
There are alot of used ones as they are used by some as their first bikes. Also the smaller suzuiki. Good luck

starter bike

I agree with Shelly, It does not matter which brand of bike to use, but make sure it is in the weight range that you can handle and are comfortable with. This makes all the difference and it also makes you feel that it is not to much for you, After you have mastered a smaller bike (250 or 300) then you can move up.
Enjoy your ride girlfriend it is awesome.

good learner's bike
by: shelly fowler

I began by riding an older Kawasaki 500 but recommend using a 250cc to begin with. Make sure you are comfortable on the bike, feet flat on ground and can easily reach the handlebar controls. Do take a class for beginner riders to boost your confidence and have fun!
