yamaha xs 650.

by gina
(miami)

Im just 5'2 about 140 lbs, 35 years old, beginner rider. I saw a nice yamaha xs 650 on ebay and i just fell inlove with it. I've never seen one in real life. I researched all about it and i think it has a seat height of 30-31 inches.Ive a honda rebel which i can flat foot and ride comfortably. Can the yamaha x650 be lowered
so that I can flat foot the bike? Or is this bike too heavy for a short people like me?

Bike choices

Unless you've sat on a bike or test ridden one I wouldn't recommend a sight unseen purchase. Not because of any mechanical issues but because you should sit on it. Ride it if possible. We are same height/weight and we were able to lower my Ninja650r one inch. It made a world of difference to me. But the test ride for my Ducati Diavel made the sell.

I'm 5'2" and own a 2000 Yamaha V Star Classic (XS650). I can flat foot mine without a problem.
