Xelement Jackets & gear

by Robin_Uganda

Anyone have any experience with Xelement? I'm in Uganda & need to shop blindly on-line only. I really don't want black, leather's pretty heavy for the amount of use I need to give it. I need something that looks more normal to an African & not so much like an armoured black alien passing by. ={ ha!
I was looking at the Armoured Tri-tex, because the level of armour seems to be excellent--full back, kidney protection & elbow pads (I'm getting shin/knee protection too). I ride a LOT--on road & a lot off road. So I'd really appreciate any feedback or experience any of you have had. Thanks. I really enjoy this forum. Happy New Year to you all! =)

Have you looked into the kind of all-weather textile riding gear that adventure riders use? Although I have leathers, the textile riding clothes are what I wear year round. They're warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, much more versatile.

I have 2 Xelement jackets, one w/armor & one w/o. I also have Xelement boots that I love. I find their sizes to be true and prices excellent. I bought one jacket retail and the other at Leatherup.com. Check out their sale listing, sometimes you can get close-out prices.

For leather jackets I shop at Jaminleather.com. Their sale section is super!

I have a leather jacket, chaps and mesh jacket all by Xelement and am very pleased with them. The mesh is gray and black the others are all black. I was possitive the black would rub off when I got them as I have had other cheap leather items do that but the Xelement products have not done that. I also rub the leathers with saddle soap to clean them and they look brand new.

Xelement Jackets

I have Harley jackets and Xelement jackets from the Leatherup website.

The Xelement products are excellent - that's why I keep coming back. I also have some of their textile jackets.

Xelement apparel, I find for me, run true to size. When I first went there, everyone said in the reviews "order a size up." Well, I did, and had to return everything and get my "regular" size, which is normally medium.

I say, go for it, you won't be disappointed.
