Hi,

I live in Australia, and I don't know if it's just down here or what, but why do all the women's motorcycle gloves have little or no protection? They're all for pillion passengers, or for chicks who can obviously live the rest of their lives without the use of their hands. All of the mens gloves have armour and stuff, but none of the women's gloves - aside from motorcross - do. I'm possibly a little more cautious than others, and I don't trust cagers at all, so I know I'm inevitably going to hit the deck at some point, so why should I not be able to have the same protection as the guys do?

Idiots

It's true that the glove manufacturers haven't figured out that women motorcycle riders are a huge untapped market out there that is just getting bigger and angrier at the lack of choices. Men's gloves are not a choice for me, they just fit wrong. I did find some with armour called AllStar, but they don't come with gauntlet style wrist covers, so are only good when it is warm out. I do have another pair without armour that are made of deerskin, that I totally love, but again, are not made to hit the pavement with any kind of seriousness. Anyone out there find some kickin gloves with armour - pass it along.

A couple of options.

One terrific option is gloves by "Held" which are some of the best made. Their smaller sized gloves are proportioned for a woman's hand. Other than that, I buy men's small or extra small gloves and they fit great - and I do have fairly small hands.
