Women Bikers MT

Founded in Feb/2009 by its current president Marcela Del Picchia, the MT Women Bikers is a group of bike tourism composed in 90% of women who ride their own bikes.

Through their community on orkut: (http://www.orkut.com/Main # Community? Cmm = 55056796) with almost 300 members, Women Bikers MT holds forums and meetings about tours and safety conducts while traveling.

"Currently, we are in 30 people with coat coming out regularly with us, our members are from São Paulo and others cities of Brazil like São Bernardo, Santo Andre and Ribeirao Preto. We meet monthly in other to make trips together".

The main objective of the group is to bring together women who love motorcycles in other to travel together, regardless of motor capacity. Our slogan is “ride always together”.

"We have Scooters to Harley Davidsons!"

The group have administrative and practical positions well distributed:
• Administrative:1 president (Marcela), 1 vice-president (Kathia), 4 counselors (Alexandra, Vânia, Rose e Márcia) and 2 moderators
• Practical: 4 batters and 2 closers** (Rose e Vânia) and support group ( Cris, Juliana and Rafael)

Focused in safety, the group holds forums for discussion and make periodic meetings about it.

Before beginning any tour or trip, all the important guidelines on conduct and safety behavior are explained to the group including traveling signals.

We also have 2 support cars and support group of 3 people (2 girls and 1 guy) who travel with us closing the group in the roads. Our vehicles are well identified and have a basic kit of 1st. aid.

We also provide the group with 1st aid courses and trainings

The Women Bikers MT, holds monthly rides and will celebrate its 1st year anniversary 27th February 2010.
