cold blinker

Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere. When things are cold, they contract. When warm, they expand. When your bike is cold the contraction is causing you to lose an electrical connection and the blinker won't work. Once the bike warms up the connection is remade and the blinker works. I would check your bulbs to make sure they are seated properly and not corroded. Also, wiggle your electrical connections and cables and see if you can find something loose. Your problem would most likely be located in an area that is warmed up by the engine running. In other words, the heat from the motor is heating up a surrounding area and causing the contact to remake. So look around in the warm areas for your problem. This also explains why your blinker works in warm weather. The contact is made then. Good luck.
