Where to get the "bling" to girly up your bike??

by Tracie
(Petersburg, IL )

HI,
Im in central Illinois and I'm a new rider. I've had a scooter for 18 months (with a permit), took the MSF course last month, got my license and last weekend I bought a 2005 250 Suzuki cruiser. I love it... but it's black & chrome, just like my boyfriend's Harley. I want it to not look like a "boy's bike"... where do you like to get decals, special paint jobs, jewls for yoour bikes? Any information would be much appreciated!!

Misc.
by: mscampo

Selling one bike now and picking up my next bike Saturday, The bike itself, to me, "looks" kind of feminine, but would LOVE to bling her up a little. Custom cruiser maroon/cream or maroon/light gold. (2 hours away and could not tell from pics) I was wondering if anyone knows of getting custom colored good quality seat. _Like the maroon---- and where have you guys got your grips? If I was getting plain bike, would have had some design painted. Not sure that would go at all!----- & Commenting to the one with the crystals on the tank . . . LOVE that. Fell in love with a FatBoy Lo ---black with that BLING on tank . . . white seat and grips. It was AWESOME. Couldn't afford that bike, and blinked and she was GONE. Not surprised.

Girl up your bike
by: Mamba2

During National Breast Cancer month, everything is PINK. To support their cause I purchased a pink long feathered boa and placed it in my windshield (securing it of course). . .I'm not a pink sort of girl but everyone commented about how nice it looked I kept it there. . .they come in all colors so whereas you don't have to get pink, any color will add a more feminine touch. Good luck!

Girly up your ride
by: Les in Omaha

I just got my bike and wanted to stake out my "girl turf" too. I got stickers for my helmet from CarStickers.com...they are scrolls and butterflys and are reflective. They peel right off if you want to change them and are easy to apply. They have HUNDREDS of styles. You can get all colors and for a little extra, get them reflective. Girlied up my helmet for 20 bucks.

Harley-Davidson Diamond Ice!
by: Wanda in Canton, GA

I have crystals on my helmet and bike. Harley-Davidson has a new diamond Ice collection for your bike. I have the timing housing cover with the bar & shield logo, the main transmission housing bar & shield, gas cap cover bar & shield. Odeometer ring of crystals. The tag holer has a row of crystals across the top. My helmet has crystals on the sides of the visor. I love them and they sparkle and are not tacky. ;-)

girly bike?
by: Yvonne - NC

My bike's black. I make sure I look like a girl when riding, ie. girly helmet, shirts, getting ready to girly-up my vest. A lot of sites on line offer a variety of girl/women's items. Seem to be getting more available now.

Willie & Max bags
by: Dawn

I have Willie & Max pink (semi-custom colored line) saddle bags and sissy bar bag in pink and black. Not bolt on, just flip over style, but tucked under the back seat they don't look too tacky and give it a bit of color. They have several colors to pick from.

I too would like a bit more "girly" bike, so I'm interested in the replies as well.

I have a brother in law who owns a body shop, so I'm trying to talk the hubby into a paint job for Christmas, but we'll see. He thinks the silver bike with pink bags is girly enough. But I really hate the black "Shadow" logo.

E-Bay!
by: Sandra

There are tons of decals, etc. on E-bay; also chrome covers and accents for every part of your bike. As for custom paint, you would want personal references and stay local to yourself...

Good luck and have fun!
