What Motorcycle?

by Amit
(Frisco, TX)

I currently ride a GSXR and am looking to get a second bike. Here are the requirements:

- Should be comfortable for 2 up riding for long hauls (> 1000 miles).
- Sufficient luggage space
- Some off-road capability (preferred)

Some that come to mind:
- Buell Ulysses
- BMW FS/R series
- Honda ST 1300

Which would you recommend and why? Also any suggestions other than above I will gladly look into. Thank you!

What Motorcycle
by: Barbara

We ride 2 up on a 03 Gold Wing.

An average day for us is 600-700 miles, our longest has been 855 with no problem
I can pack for 2 weeks in just the 2 side bags and top trunk.

We have had it off road (the Burr Trail in Utah) and several unexpected/unplanned dirt roads.
We do just fine, it is well balanced with the weight down low..but when it come to the twisties, it turns into a sport bike on steroids.
We have 100,000 on our 03 Wing, in the past have had a 98-wing and 01-wing and currently we have 2 Yamaha FZ1 in addition to the 03 wing. Lots of fun!
