Use Menthogen to feel and look great!

by Lisa
(Manchester, UK)

Menthogen is a post-ride tonic spray which 'cools, soothes and revitalizes the scalp and hair'. Part hair, couple of sprays and rub in. Within minutes your scalp is cool and refreshed and you hair can be 'restyled' (don't be expecting it to look like Vidal did it though!). IMHO M-GEN is great for after a long hot ride. It comes in a small pocket sized bottle and is shipped from the UK. I never leave home without it now.

Natural anti-irritant, M-GEN spray (as it is also known) is also an anti-irritant; it stops itchiness during/after riding. All ingredients in M-GEN come from natural sources. It's unperfumed and at time of post (June 11) I'm awaiting samples of shampoo to be sent by customer services.

Updates...
by: Lisa

Sorry for delay, been studying for my degree course...(arr and relax!)

Re Menthogen in the US I've seen Menthogen on a couple of bike websites but would not know if it's available from US stores. That said the menthogen website (menthogen.co.uk) states they ship worldwide.

In an earlier post I mentioned I was waiting on a sample of Menthogen Shampoo. Been using this just over a month now. It's brilliant if a little pricey, but then it is a specialist product. Don't know how it works but it really enhances the nice cooling, soothing feeling that the m-gen spray gives me and, makes it last.

It's a long time since I suffered with helmet itch whilst riding out and about.

PS there are more suggestions for getting rid of helmet scalp itch over another post on these forum. Search "itchy-head-from-helmet" - from the truly whack to the purpose created.

Is there any place in the US to buy Menthogen for itchy scalp under the helmet? We live in Washington state. Thanks

Best Ever!!

I'm in Australia and I discovered menthogen onlne last year and after years of persevering with itchiness during and after riding I will not stop using this amazing little product. I'd not thought how it helps me to restyle but I guess it does. Don't tell 'em or they'll charge more for it ;-);-) I received recently M-GEN shampoo samples just out of the blue. I'll be getting some of that too thank you. BFN. Alison.

Totally Refreshing to Use
by: Jo Clark (Manchester UK)

Well we never get temperatures like that here in the UK (sadly!), but I've been using Menthogen since 2010 because it makes my scalp feel totally refreshed after a long ride. I agree with Lisa above; it helps stop the flattened look from wearing my 'lid'. I was asked on another forum where to buy from. I've always got mine direct from www.menthogen.co.uk after searching Google - I've not seen it at my local dealers.

Helmet Itch Cure
by: Sandy Dollard (U.S.)

This stuff may work great post-ride hair but I use it before hand and avoid that aggravating helmet itch that starts up about an hour into the ride. I don't know if the itching is caused from static from helmet rub or what... but the Menthogen sprayed on and rubbed in before a ride stops the itch! I was just out in an all day "test" ride and it worked great even in 95 degree temps!!
