Triumph Speed Triple

by Melissa
(College Point)

I got my license this past summer and bought a ST....the only thing is that the bike is a little too high for me. Does anyone have any suggestions. Should I lower the seat or just get higher boots?

Lowering Kit
by: melissa

None of the above comments will lower your bike. You need to buy the new Bonneville lowering kit and have someone lower it. My boyfriend did it for me. It is very easy. I did that and added 2 extra layers to my mc boots at shoe repair.

Thanks guys for the comments on lowering the bike...

I read on cowl and sergeant seats, does anyone know how much lower does it make you go.. is it 1/2"? I am considering buying one but I am not sure.

The ST can be lowered and the seat has a couple of settings also.

Triumph

Make sure the shock(s) are at the lowest setting first. I did that with the Triumph Bonneville I owned and it helped a bit. I also bought boots with the thickest sole and a taller heel. (X-element lace-up boots with side zippers found on Leatherup.com) Congrats on the Triumph!
