Struggle to Kickstart if Engine is Cold

by Greta
(South Africa)

My bike is a Suzuki ts 185, a 1996 model. I serviced it recently, have a new spark-plug, it idle beautifully, run well, but STRUGGLE to start for the first time per day. If engine is warm it starts with the first kick. Once it starts I have no problem.

I thought if I service the bike and replace the spark-plug the problem will disappear, but not the case. Please help.

Do you use high octane fuel? Do you let the choke out a little when you start the bike and let it run about 3-5 mins and then let the choke back in.
