Stop! Where's Your Insurance?

Chicago is cold..most of the time. So today when it was overcast but very very nice, I decided to take out Maggie for her first run in 6 months. Like most have mentioned, I was a bit skiddish when I fastened my helmet, put on my gloves, and mounted her. I tole myself, just ride up and down the alley. I was especially nervous cause Maggie is my new bike. I purchased her just when it started to become cold and hadn't had much opportunity to enjoy her. So I put her in first and off I went. Just down the alley...right?? I was so excited and it did feel as though I had just ridden her. I actually felt more comfy on her NOW then I did THEN. I passed my alley. I went up two blocks, then three, then four, then a mile. At a stop sign, I realized...wait! You don't have your license (I left it at home) and you hadn't reinstated your insurance!!!! Just when that thought was completed, I saw a cop's car!!! I high tailed it off the street and had to return to my garage! Close call, but boy....it was fun!!!!!!
