Sleeping Bags

by Raven

Hi,

We are taking our 2 Harley's to Sturgis and camping at Tilford Gultch campground. We bought a little 2 person tent but are having a problem finding sleeping bags small enough to fit on the bike, lights and little chairs. Do you have any suggestions on what KIND, BRAND specific ones you like or are portable. We don't want to look like the Beverly hillbillies going down the road.

Thanks,

Raven

Tilford
by: Robin

HEH!!! We're staying this year at the Tilford too!!

I'm riding my 1100 V-star and Jay is on his 1700 Road Star and pulling a homemade bike trailer. That is the only way we found to get all the stuff we need and make it comfortable. We've got a 4-person tent, a 12x12 dining canopy, air mattress, pump, chairs, electric fans, battery lights, etc. We've even got room for a big cooler on this trailer.

Where are you coming from?

Compression Sacks!!!
by: kp

Get yourself a few compression sacks. They come in a variety of sizes. Make sure to get a few waterproof ones. I've gotten some from Cabela's and REI. REI also has a small battery power lantern that has a remote.

Most importantly, invest in a few cargo nets.
