Dirt Bikes
by: Shannon

Dirt bikes are harder because they have higher suspensions, which makes is very hard to touch the ground. The Honda 150F is a great small legged starter dirt bike - easy power delivery, great put put gearing and low to the ground.

I have short leggers disease, even though I am 5'6. A lot of my height is in my torso. My first bike adult dirt bike was a 230F, which was almost to tall for me. My current dirt bike is a KTM 250XCF-W, which I had to have professionally lowered because I could barely touch one toe at a time.

Do you mean physical size or engine displacement? Suggest going to a couple of your local dealers and sitting on different ones to see which one fits you best. You don't have to buy new if you don't want to, but it helps to check out what is available before buying new or used. In general, smaller with lower engine displacement is easier to handle, especially if you are a beginner. Ride safe!
