SF Trip to Remember

My husband and I headed from the Santa Cruz area to San Francisco on his '73 Honda CB500. It was warm that day and there was a St.Patrick's Day parade and too much to do in one day... so we decided to spend the night. We were newly married and didn't really want to pay $100.00 plus for a room for the night so we slept in a park with no gear and it got quite cold. The following day was great with cable cars, Golden Gate Park etc., but there was a light but freezing rain on the return trip and a good Samaritan charged our cycle battery for us beforehand which was getting weak. We made it home alive, but hungry, and with a new found respect for the homeless of SF and anywhere.
