Safety Course again after 20 yr hiatus

by Char
(Delaware)

Well I am back in the saddle again after 20 yrs hiatus. I got the urge to ride again and purchased a 2006 Sporty last year. I was surprised how easily MOST the riding came back to me. So i got brave and figured to get the bike i really wanted. A few mos back I upgraded to a 2005 Heritage and though it rides and handles nicely, i know i need a refresher course. I feel I would be remiss and flirting with danger if I did not. I have asked other riders what they thought about something or other (riding ??) and all agree that taking the class is great idea. It also gets ya discount on insurance. Most importantly I can feel more confident when riding and don't have to stress this time over passing the test, since I have kept up my mc endorsement license. I am looking forward to relearning all they have to teach. This time I can really concentrate on things that I know are problematic to me now, and learn the right way to correct a bad habit. I know the advanced class is not suited for me (yet). I enrolled in the DMV woman's class which should be very chilled out, no macho testosterone filled riders there....lol ( no offense gentleman)
SO I'm ....
Keeping it real
Keeping it shiny side up
and loving the friendship that goes with it.
Finding the Zone again!!!!!

Glad your back at it. Take any and all classes you can you'll learn something in every class. The roads are a lot different from twenty years ago -- we have texting now! Be Safe!
