Have you taken the Motorcycle Safety Course? Head turns, meaning look where you want to go. If you look straight, that's where you'll go. If you're needing to make a U turn, to the right, look far over your right shoulder at a point that you want to end up at in the middle of the turn. Lean your center of gravity to the opposite side (in a U turn) you are taking this slowly anyway. You will be able to do figure 8's in a box like this too.
They use this as an exercise in the course. For a general right turn from a stop: look to the right at the point you want to be when you begin to go straight, go, & lean, as soon as you are at the point you were looking as, straighten up & you are through your turn.

Right Turns by: Anonymous
I had a problem with those also when I first started. Just make sure you keep your head up looking where you want to go the bike will go there. I found I wasn't comfortable with the right turns for some reason and it would make me look down maybe that is what you are doing.
