Riding Together in Freedom!

by Caroline
(Kanata, Ontario, Canada)

I love doing everything with my husband! We enjoy each other and have always shared adventures...so when he(we) decided to buy a motorcycle I couldn't wait to experience the thrill. Well, it didn't take long for me to want to get my motorcycle license and buy my own bike to ride along side Jim! I passed the safety course and got my license at the end of August 2010, bought my Harley Davidson 2011 Sportster SuperLow. We have had many great rides together and are excited to spend the whole summer in new back road adventures! We just spent 3 weeks in Florida riding on the county routes to the Keys, through the Everglades, and a 4 day trip to New Orleans. Awesome!

Riding Together
by: Lani - FL

Started riding last year in April. OM took me to Sturgis. Rode with him everywhere except Iron Mountain. Ride with him 3-4 times a week now (retired so we do whatever we want). Enjoy, it's time well spent with the OM. Ever notice how they mellow out when they're on their bikes??

Amen to that!

We just had a fabulous weekend riding together, from home, but it seemed as if we were on a mini vacation. We rode on Friday ( Canada Day) through many little back roads, had a great patio dinner along the water in Perth, Ontario. Then on Saturday, we headed to the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, along the 105. We ended up back in Pembroke, Ontario and on home....it was great! The weather couldn't have been better and we made sure to ride into the evening to fully enjoy the sunset!

We're going to Niagara-on-the-Lake in a couple of weeks, should be a blast, we will ride with another couple and 2 more in their van.

See you in the curves,

Caroline

Freedom

My husband rode bikes before he got his car license. He hadn't ridden a bike for about ten years before I talked him into getting another bike (he says nagged), he got a Boulevard C50 cruiser, which is gorgeous. I enjoyed being a pillion but got sick of looking at the back of his helmet, so I got my license and I learned to ride on a Kawasaki GPX250 (EX250), which I have recently sold and am looking for my dream bike! Like my husband read once, 'you never see a bike rider outside of a psychiatrists office' because we are free!

I think that it's great that you ride with your husband. Sharing a passion is a wonderful thing.

My boyfriend is the main reason I started riding too. Without his support I probably would not have done it. We also plan to tour together.

Happy adventures!

Freedom

Thanks for sharing. I can see by your picture you were probably in Florida. My husband & I live in SW Florida and have many neighbors from Canada who winter here, some are riders too. What a wonder experience being able to ride across country!

I cannot imagine a better way to see the country! Can't get much closer, except to walk it, right?

You guys look great on your bikes - enjoy!
