Ride For Our Heroes

I've received an email request from a group called Home Base who is part of a group organizing an event called "Ride For Our Heroes". This will be occuring Sept 24 from 6 New England states. They have asked me to support this event and I haven't given them an answer yet.

As I understand the information ( and I'll put a link to them at the bottom ) this is an event that is designed to honour the service men and women of the United States and their families. Included is a fundraiser for the Red Sox Foundation and the Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program. From their website the Home Base Program provides care to veterans returning from Afganistan and Iraq who have suffered combat stress, brain injuries as well as providing support for their families.

What caught my attention at their website was a link to the "Support A Rider" page where you can search for a specific rider and visit their personal fundraising page. Thats when I thought that if I'm going to support this I want to know if any of my visitors are participating in "Ride For Our Heroes".

As this is a women's motorcycle riders website I think it only makes sense to support any women or group of women who may be participating in "Ride For Our Heroes". So I'm putting out a call and asking you if you are riding in "Ride For Our Heroes"? Are you riding as an individual rider? Or will you be riding as part of a group of women in this event?

Please let me know and as always please let me know what you think about this idea.
