by J
(toronto)

Ill prob answer my own question. lol, but, my motorcycle revs way too high when i start it up. at first it doesnt, sometimes, then its like its ready to take off on me! i have t hold the breaks down. is it the valves which i had to repair with caulking. temp fix, and or is it the carburator? which i have no idea what to do on a bike to fix it. like clean it, repalce it etc.
any ideas for the winter to fix this.i know my valves need replacing. but reving.. it it both things.
thanks
j.

Revving too high?
by: ladytech

Hi there, first of all, what make and model is your motorcycle? Secondly, how did you go about "repairing" your valves with caulking? High RPM's at start up can be caused by a variety of circumstances, but a little more details would be helpful.
