Regular Long Distance in Uganda

Hey there. The thing I'm REALLY happy about is to find a forum for women riders. I've ridden over the years (I'm Ozzie & was in Asia for many years). I'm in Uganda and ride a LOT. We have orphans up north in Gulu, so I usually leave every Monday or Tuesday morning, back Friday evening. I'm looking for a Kawasaki KLR 650 because I do an average of 750-1000km a week, and a lot of it is on-road, a lot is hefty African off-road. So a Dual sport is really my only option, other heavier bikes would get stuck at the first foot deep pothole, so I wouldn't even get outta town. Ha! Any women on your team owned a KLR? Any comments? I've been riding Honda for years but am just about to step up, in a month or two. I like your site & will look at it more now I've found it. Great to be in touch! Robin
