real mc boots with heels

(sue in canada)

Hi, I am 5'2 and am too short for a bike I want..
Would love to get a pair of womans boots with a good size heel/wedge.
Not the "fashion" boots that makes me look like a stripper,,but real rugged boots.
I do have a pair of harley Davidsons boots with a 1 inch wedge ,,just wondered if there are any other boots out that than can give me added inches I need..
thanks

Shoe Repair Shop
by: Tamara

Hi,
I'm 5'2" and ride a Victory Vegas Low. It was still a little too high for me. When I purchased my second pair of HD boots I took them to the local shoe repair shop and had them add 1/2 inch to the sole of the boot. They actually cut the sole of the boot in half and glued it in. It was a little pricey, but gives me a lot more confidence with my feet planted more firmly on the ground.

Agree with you, that is a problem. I finally got a pair of Harley boots, I'm 5'3". I ride a Shadow 1000, didn't want to lower it because it's very comfortable. These boot have a thicker sole and higher heel and are perfect for me. I would like a nicer looking boot but can't find them. Still searching, the ones I do find are not sturdy enough. But, I'll keep looking, till then I'll stick with my Harley boots.

Icon

Icon makes a wedge shaped heeled boot. It is a bit taller. I tried them on but didn't like the fit around the ankle. They have a shorty and a taller boot.
I wish I was a Goth chick then I'd know where to get those monstor boots I see sometimes.

5 feet 2 inch rider
by: Anonymouslydia williams

I am only 5 '2" and ride a heritage softail... I had the front lowered and wear harley boots and I do fine. I am still not flat footed on the ground.. my main problem is getting the kickstand up with my short legs and remied that by pulling forward a little after starting the bike and the stand works its way back and I can then kick it the rest of the way up.

Boots
by: Joan

Sue, have you thought about taking your Harley boots to a shoe repair shop and having them sew on thicker soles and heels? My husband had to have this done to both pairs of his boots. He actually had about two inches added to one pair so he could flat foot our Ultra Limited better (he's only 5'5" and has short legs.) This might be an option for you if you can't find boots already made with a taller heel.
