Pillion Seat Agony

by Jane

We're getting ready to set off on our first long ride. We have a Softail, and my husband doesn't seem to suffer, but the pillion seat is agony after about an hour. Is there anything I can do differently, besides shift around? I've heard bike shorts recommended, anything that snugs up the butt.

Thanks,

Jane

Gel Pad
by: Cheryl

I recently went 5500 miles on the back of my husband's Vulcan and the only thing that really helped was getting off the bike to take small breaks every hour. We rode anywhere from 8 to 10 hours a day and those short breaks made the difference. Also there are gel pads that you can put on the seat. You may want to check those out. Have a safe trip!
