Past my test at 62!!!!!!!!!!

I just past my motorcycle test this afternoon in partly flooded Kent, UK, even had a hailshower in the middle of the test.
And I am a 62 year old biddy!
I now can ride my HD Sportster 883 Superlow and venture out to Italy with a very happy hubby! WOW!!!!

Past the test at 62

Well, after passing the test and practicing a lot on my HD 883. (Superlow!) i travelled from UK through France and Switserland to Italy, a total of 2000 miles, in June.

And returned just yesterday from another 2000 miles riding through Spain and Portugal!

It is an amazing way of travelling!!!

I would love to go to USA one day, and perhaps meet you other lady riders, and explore your Country!

Congratulations

Our stories are so similar. I too was in my sixties when I took and past my riding test. I already owned my bike an 883 sporty. I passed and the rest is history..II ride a lot at least 200-300miiles per week.My sister rides too and she was in her sixties too when she took her test. We live in N.FL. and can ride all year long and we do road trips too. We've been to Key West and as far North as Asheville,,NC. We just get on those bikes and go.You've got the bike and you've got the licsence, so let nothing stop you.

Awesome Accomplishment

Well, congratulations! I am 57 and just got my first bike, had my license for a few years. It is an awesome experience and it's nice to see women riders on the road. Congratulations!!!!

BTW 62 isn't old, especially if you only feel 37 inside.

Congrats!

I just passed my test at 44 (soon to be 45). I also have a Sporster but it's an 883 Iron. I am still a big chicken riding it but I have been practicing at a local park, riding the perimeter and such. BY the end of the week I plan on trying to ride around my neighborhood. I'm scared but determined to do this. :)

Nerves nerves nerves

I am struggling with learning to ride a 125! Nerves are hindering me. Very frustrating as normally a confident person. I feel motivated now seeing you passed your bike test at 62 amazing!!!!!!
I need to man up I'm only 46 haha xx

Congratulations Marlene on passing your test, especially in such rough circumstances. Age is just a number! Forgot about the number! Have a fun life riding with your husband & take it all in. We only go around once.

Superlow

Marleen, congratulations on getting your license. I also ride a 883 Sportster Superlow and LOVE it! I got my MC license about 4 years ago (at the age of 55) and this is my third bike since then. It also has been my favorite. I love the size, weight and how easy it is for me to maneuver. My husband would love for me to start riding our Heritage, but I am so happy with my Superlow that I just don't have the desire. Maybe one of these days.... Have fun riding in Italy. We were there about 3 years ago when we went to the International HOG rally in Lugano. Had a great time and enjoyed some wonderful riding.
