No Power to Bike

by Chris
(Michigan)

Hey there, so it's summer finally, I got my 600cbr out the other day and went to install my battery and I was so dumb, I installed it backwards. Now I don't have any power to my bike. I checked the fuses and couldn't find a blown one. It makes me sick to think about. Could I have shorted out my whole electrical system or could it be something I looked over? There's got to be something to protect it from that sort of thing. I don't know much about the electrical stuff so I'm drawing a blank on what to do.

You most likely blew the 30 amp fuse that is located on your starter solenoid. If you follow the positive battery cable to its end you will end up at the solenoid. Remove the red cover on the solenoid & the 30 amp fuse (which is green) is under the cover.
